Fathers day

Fathers have a special role to play in their daughters lives. My father has always been there and protected me. He gives me advice when I need it and also when I don't.
My husband Clint is wrapped around his 2 princesses little fingers. He will do anything for them girls. It's amazing how much love he shows towards them. He will always have a special place in their hearts just as my dad has in mine. Happy fathers day to all the ones out there.

Lake

Our family loves going to the lake. Daddy fishes willow and jakki swim and play at the play ground. We counted birds and how many swimmers there were. Not many people was out there yesterday but we still had a blast.

What a long day! My cousin brought over her two adorable little kids today. Willow had a blast playing with them and jakki got a kick out of watching them play. Then we went to look at a house, then got groceries but I had to come home and get the DVD we forgot to take back to the Library. While all this was going on my 2 1/2 year old willow wanted to play princess and dance and sing. After taking the DVD back it was time for dinner. Fried chicken cutlets, mash potatoes, and veggies with cheese. Had to make green beans for willow because cheese hates her but she sure does love cheese. Now we are all in bed and this hot mamma is going night night;)

A new beginning

I  have decided that it is time to stop being lazy and start getting off my butt and getting my 2 1/2 year old away from the TV. We are going to start learning more about colors, numbers, and the alphabet. Not to mention about more activities that will make us well rounded.  I want my children to have have every opportunity in their education and to be smart well rounded individuals that are independent.

We are going to start out with the letter "A". We will also start listing to musicals as i have found and amazing blog that introduced me to this. In Lieu of Preschool. I think since we are doing the Letter "A" We will start with the musical "Annie". Good ideal? eh?  Here is a good link to buy the musical "Annie" But we will be getting it from the library. Annie (1977 Original Broadway Cast) 
I am also going to try to find a book at wal-mart today that starts with the letter "A"
I will start updating this blog more with what we are learning and how you can learn too. Also where you can get what we are learning with. I will also be putting links up to amazing blogs like the one above so you can see where i am getting my stuff from:)

So i have a new favorite salad. The south west salad from McDonald's. Now i HATE salad so this is a big deal that i actually like this one. I have come across a SOUTHWEST COBB SALAD and it is amazing. I will have to send huge thank yous to our best bites. So hear it goes.

Vinaigrette: 3 Tbs White Wine Vinegar

1 tsp honey

3/4 tsp ground cumin 

1/2 tsp smoked paprika 

1/2 tsp garlic powder

1/4 tsp red pepper

2 tablespoons of canola oil

Salad: 3 slices bacon cooked and crumbled 

8oz skinless chicken breast  cut up

1/4 tsp salt

8 cups torn romaine lettuce 

1/2 cup pico de gallo

1/2 cup diced avocado

1/2 cup of feat, pepper jack, or queso fresco (your choice)

1/4 cup chopped green onions 

1 15oz can of black beans drained and rinsed 

changes for 2012

So i found this on another blog and i have decided that this will be one of my changes for 2012.
I will clean more, cook more, and work out more. Here is my cleaning list i will be trying to stick too.

Daily Cleaning List:

1. Make beds
2. Wipe sink and clean toilet
3. Do dishes after every meal and sweep after dishes are done
4. Keep all rooms picked up. Pick up before each meal and make sure everything is in order. Make sure children pick up toys when they are finished before they go on to something else
5. Run a duster over main surfaces
6. Do laundry about 5 days a week – keeping hampers almost empty
7. Vacuum main traffic areas
8. File papers

Weekly Cleaning List:

1. Clean bathroom. Do bathtub and shower walls. Clean mirrors and sinks. Clean toilet, wiping all around the outside and floors around toilet by hand.
2. Vacuum each room
3. Dust, including frames and figurines – dusting under everything
4. Sweep and mop floors
5. Clean out fridge, getting rid of leftovers and wiping up spills
6. Wipe off outside of all appliances
7. Change sheets on beds
8. Sweep down cobwebs
